The purpose of this document is to analyze the two methodologies Extreme Progarmming (XP) and Unfied Process (UP) using the framework proposed in “Information Systems development”
The document focuses on the XP and UP methodologies and try to give an introduction
as well as the most noticable differences. The conclusion is that the two methodologies do
not compete because of the different scope and target.
Furthermore, in the other document I state that in some cases these two methodologies might
be blended together to gain advantages from both sides. The document was produced as part
of a project developed in 3rd semester in Roskilde HandelSkole in the year 2003 autumn.
