The International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) or the IB is a non-profit educational foundation offering international education which was founded in 1968 in Geneva. The organization currently works with over 5,684 schools in more than 160 countries around the world and offers four high quality and challenging educational programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP) for pupils aged 3-12, the Middle Years Programme (MYP) for students aged 11-16 and two programmes for students aged 16-19: the Diploma Programme (DP) and the Career-related Programme (CP).
Vilnius Lyceum has been authorized by the IB to offer the Diploma Programme since 1997. The school is commited to the IB educational philosophy and upholds the following IB principles:
