VILNIUS LYCEUM INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE DIPLOMA PROGRAMME

ADMISSION 2023

  1. For admission into the IB Diploma programme, students must have completed basic secondary education and pass entrance exams arranged at Vilnius Lyceum.
  2. Students who have completed the IB Middle Years Programme and have received the IB Middle Years Certificate are enrolled in the International Baccalaureate classes without entrance exams.
  3. Application documents to Vilnius Lyceum, as a school of Vilnius City Municipality, have to be centrally submitted online via the website of Vilnius Municipality from March 1st to March 31st. To submit an application, go to www.vilnius.lt/svietimas to log in. Fill in all the required information and from the list of Klasė (Grade), choose III gimnazijos klasė (Gymnasium Grade 3).
  4. Application or other documents are not required to be submitted to Vilnius Lyceum.
  5. Vilnius Lyceum students submit their application for admission to the IB class to the principal of Vilnius Lyceum from March 1st to March 31st.
  6. There are two entrance exams: English (first or second language, 40 points) and Mathematics (40 points).
  7. The duration of each exam is 60 min.
  8. All students taking entrance exams, participate in the admission competition.
  9. Entrance exams will be held on April 22nd (Saturday) at 9:00 a.m.
  10. Students who are studying outside Lithuania during academic year 2022/2023 will sit exams on August 25th.
  11. Applicants who will take exams on August 25th have to inform about this by sending an email to priemimas@licejus.lt by April 20th.

  13. Upon completion of the examinations, the Admission Board will determine the minimum mark for passing each examination. Students who have achieved a minimum and highest number of points in each exam take part in the admission competition. The overall mark of the competition consists of the sum of points obtained in each examination.
  14. The results of the exams, which will be held on April 22nd, are announced on May 5th on the Lyceum website www.licejus.lt.
  15. Parents of the students admitted to the International Baccalaureate class must confirm the invitation to study at the Lyceum via Vilnius Municipality e-system until June 9th.
  16. The results of the exams, which will be held on August 25th, are announced on August 29th.
