VILNIUS LYCEUM INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE DIPLOMA PROGRAMME

ADMISSION 2024

  1. To be admitted into the IB Diploma programme at Vilnius Lyceum, students must have completed basic secondary education and successfully pass entrance exams organized by the school.
  2. Students who have completed the IB Middle Years Programme and have received the IB Middle Years Certificate are enrolled in the International Baccalaureate classes without entrance exams.
  3. Application documents to Vilnius Lyceum, as a school of Vilnius City Municipality, must be submitted  through the electronic system on the website of Vilnius Municipality from March 1st to March 31st. To submit an application, please visit www.vilnius.lt/svietimas and log in. Fill in all the required information and select III gimnazijos klasė (Gymnasium Grade 3) from the list of Klasė (Grade). Application or other documents are not required to be submitted directly to Vilnius Lyceum.
  4. Applicants have to take two entrance exams: English (40 points) and Mathematics (40 points). The duration of each exam is 60 min.
  5. The syllabuses for the entrance exams can be found on the website www.licejus.lt/syllabuses.
  6. The entrance exams will take place on April 13th (Saturday) at 9:00 a.m. Detailed information about the exams will be announced on April 9th on the website www.licejus.lt.
  7. Upon completion of the examinations, the Admissions Board will determine the minimum passing mark for each examination. Students who have attained the minimum required points or exceeded them in any examination will be eligible to participate in the admission competition. The overall competition mark will be calculated by summing up the points obtained in each examination.
  8. The results of the exams held on April 13th will be announced on May 3rd on the website www.licejus.lt.
  9. Students who are studying outside Lithuania during the academic year 2023/2024 and wish to take examinations on August 26th must notify the Admissions board by sending email to admission@licejus.lt by April 22nd.
  10. The results of the exams held on August 26th will be announced on August 30th.
  11. Parents of students who have been admitted to the International Baccalaureate class are required to confirm their received e-invitation  to study at the Lyceum through the Vilnius Municipality e-system by June 9th.
